Hearst Castle Miata Run

To start with, here are some pictures taken during the Hearst Castle run, organized by the Miata clubs. I don't have a Miata by myself but I was a guest of Marc, a friend from the Bay Area Miata Assocation. The run started at 9 AM in San Luis Obispo and ended around 4 PM at San Simeon. Most Miatas were from California, but some of them came from Nevada, Texas, etc.; what a great trip with 68 cars!

Pour commencer, voici les images prises pendant la ballade de Hearst Castle, organisée par les clubs Miata. Ne possèdant pas de Miata personnellement, j'étais invité par Marc, qui fait parti du Bay Area Miata Assocation. La ballade a commencé à 9h a San Luis Obispo et s'est terminée vers 16h à San Simeon. La plupart des Miata venait de Californie, mais certaines venaient du Nevada ou du Texas, au total 68 voitures !

These pictures were taken at the Hearst Castle itself. We were on the 5:10 tour and the sun was already gone, which is a pitty because the castle must be outrageously beautiful during suntime. Anyway, that was a great moment too :-)

Voici une série de photos prises à Hearst Castle. Nous étions dans le tour de 17h10 et donc il faisait déjà presque nuit, ce qui est un peu dommage car le chateau doit être spendide en plein soleil. Ceci dit même comme cela, c'était fabuleux :-)

To finish, Sunday, we came back with a group of Northern Californian dissidents ;-) via the Highway 1, along the coast till we hit Carmel and then reached the 101 via Carmel Valley.

Pour terminer, le dimanche nous sommes rentrés avec une caravane par la route 1, le long de la cote, jusqu'a Carmel puis nous avons rejoint la 101 via Carmel Valley.

That was a great moment, with great people. I hope I will be able to join some other runs like that!

Au total, c'était un superbe week-end et l'ensemble du groupe était super sympa. J'espère avoir l'occasion de refaire une telle ballade!
